Just lateral after a year
Is it that easy coming from a MM? esp with my background (EU bachelors, no master, poor a-levels)?
Honestly, it depends on the MM. Could you provide the name with a few others, to prevent doxxing yourself. I'm happy to break each bank down.
It is one of Jeff/RJ/HW/Baird
You have your own goals and risk tolerances, as well as financial constraints, so all this is how I'd advise MYSELF if I were in your position.
Accept the offer. You would be nuts to do anything else. Having a good brand at the top of your CV is important, but you lose a year (at least), and have no certainty of actually landing the role you're looking for (and have full certainty of losing the opportunity you have).
You can lateral later if working at a BB / EB is where you get your shits and giggles (be careful what you wish for if you have an offer in a place with good culture and that pays well you're entitled to dream about whatever the hell you want I guess). You can spend all of 5 minutes on this forum and pull up a list of posts about people landing no internships, failing to convert, or accepting offers in adjacent industries - there were probably a lot of smart and capable people behind those posts, and that could be you (you say yourself you did "countless" interviews).
Take the offer over getting more education.
close your eyes and take the offer, can always recreate / reapproach the other opps later
