Spelling error in Cover Letter
In a spontaneous application to Lazard for an investment banking internship position, I misspelt the word 'derivatives' in the body of my cover letter, instead typing 'derivates'. Does this completely undermine my application? Is it worth sending an updated cover letter, gracefully admitting to my previous error?
You can chill - people only skim over cover letters and won’t notice the mistake. Even if the bank uses software that scans cover letters the mistake won’t pop up because ‘derivates’ is still an actual word.
