Stating area of interest on cover letter
I've been researching some smaller/mid size Corp Fin advisory / equity research firms based in London and several of them tell experienced hires to send a CV and cover letter, stating their areas of interest on it.
Now although my clear preference is for corporate finance, I'd also love to work in Equity Research as a second choice (if nothing's available in CF) but I'm not sure how, if at all, I should express this on a cover letter.
Does anyone have any tips for best practice in regards to approaching this?
