stuck, unemployed, need help

my friend said many people on this forum are in industry and experienced so can give some good advice.

i took a contract role at a good f500 firm after graduating from a good uk university wishing they would convert me to a full time role. it was fun but my manager is leaving and my contract cannot be extended anymore. i got very good feedback and i have been told i am welcome to return to the company once there is an open role but it seems most of the roles that fit my background are in the states. i cannot go to the states because i cannot get any Visa. so i need plan b.

i tried to apply to other companies in industry but i do not have enough experience for most roles so get rejected. i tried hard to reach out to alumni for banking roles but it is not working out because i do not have past finance experience and the uk seem quite linear in the type of candidate they take on. my current role experience would fit into consulting well but i had no luck securing interviews. i tried the big4 and tonnes of recruitment agencies and small shops but no one invites me for an interview (probably because i dont have direct relevant experience to the jobs they are offering).

its end of march now and im heading into unemployment. what shall i do please?

sorry for the poor formatting i am using my crappy phone ;)

Hey, I had a VERY similar experience. I am also unemployed and looking to find something. Any chance we could bounce ideas of one another? I'd like to also see what other experienced users post.
