Suggestions on learning about different sectors and feeling stupid compared to my peers

Hey all!

Currently still in college. There's a club at my school, it's like a mock portfolio and they do weekly pitches. Today, they pitched DLR and Equinix. They talked about Data Center REITs in detail. They do this every pitch, whatever company and industry they pitch, they do it in detail.
I have pitched a couple of stocks myself but my industry and company knowledge wasn't this detailed and nuanced. Going into banking, besides just knowing valuation, how do you suggest I gather knowledge on different sectors and industries enough to be able explain them as if I've been working in that industry for a long time.
I kind of feel stupid, since the club at my school has first years like me on the club who get like one week to pitch a stock and they research the industry in the one week but still are able to pitch it at such a high level, at least that's what I think because I don't understand anything they said at the presentation today (something that concerns me), especially with tech stuff like data centers and all.
I know that some suggestions might be to read newsletters and subscribe to tech newsletters like Techcrunch, etc, I already do that but the detail in these stock pitches is BEYOND newsletters and beginner research one would do if they're starting to learn about an industry.

My biggest question is how does one even find this information about this industry, because like I said this info, ESPECIALLY, how they explained it wasn't something you'd read or find if you searched up about data centers normally. (at least that's what i think and maybe i'm not researching correctly or in the right place)
