Switching from political role to consulting
For some reason when I graduated last year I thought I'd rather work in politics (I swear I'm not a student politics wanker) than the city but now I'm one-year post uni (target school - 69% avg) I've realised screw that and I want to change to consulting, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for how I should spin this/whether the fact it's party political will be an issue?
My role is policy research and the work I do is building reports and doing comms mainly so I'm not some party advocate.
I've done work experience in a law firm and 6 weeks on a consulting project so it's not like my CV isn't suited to the switch I just think it might be a hard story to sell. If anyone has any advice that'd be really appreciated.
