Switching job after just starting

Been scratching my head on this and still unsure so hopefully someone here can advise a little better.

I’ve recently joined a market maker as a junior trader, and had my first day last week. I was interviewing with a number of firms however I accepted their offer as  at the time it seemed a good fit and the recruiter pushed for it.

Fast forward to this week and I’ve been offered a role as a junior trader at a bulge bracket to start in mid October, which is my ideal role. I have accepted the offer from the tier 1 and will hand in my resignation on Monday to the market maker, however I did not inform the tier 1 bank about my 1 week at the market maker.

Will they find out that I was at the market maker for a week or 2 and left in order to accept their offer? I’m concerned they might be able to find out through NI number or PAYE etc.

Any advice on the above will be appreciated, thanks.
