Two PE internships unnecessary?
Hi everyone,
I am going to graduate this year and plan to do a gap-year before starting my Master's degree. Later this year, I will intern at an EB and I would also like to gain some experience in PE. I currently have a couple of MM-PE internship offers on the table for next year (both top 30 in PEI300 ranking, 3 months each). The problem is that one of the internships would go until the end of June (not flexible). As a result, I would miss out on potential SA opportunities in London (which start in June if I am not mistaken?). My ultimate goal would be to land a full time offer at an EB/ BB/ PE firm in London (PE obviously depends on if I enjoy my internship experience in the sector). The internships I mentioned before will not be in London.
Considering this, do you think that it is unnecessary to do two internships at fairly equal sized PE firms? Should I just do one and aim to land an SA offer instead? Thanks a lot for your help!
