Typical Process of Lateraling Banks (Senior Analyst to A0)

I am currently a senior analyst at a well-regraded MM bank and just received a verbal offer to join a leading bank in my industry. The verbal offer noted that I would join as an A0 and be made whole on my bonus.

Can anyone that has made the A0 move provide any details on their offer? Did you join and immediately receive an associate salary? Or will it be a 3rd year analyst salary until July and at that time be an associate salary? Was your bonus buyout paid as a sign on bonus or was it paid in the normal June/July window?

I am looking to understand what is street in a typical A0 lateral move at this point in the cycle.
