UK Grad Schemes
Hi,
Just wondering if someone could give some colour on when UK IB grad schemes tend to open please?
Also, as an intern in IB at a BB but at a non-target, does this impact initial screening (have seen some banks auto screen out non-targets)?
Thanks
Aren’t BB internships still going? Are you sure you can’t convert?
Finish on Friday but head count is extremely tight and feedback didn’t sound promising in terms of being one of the few to convert unfortunately
what is the percentage looking like?
Headcount is gonna be tight across the street based on what we see in the US. Are you really thinking any banks are going to be hiring FT this year if they're even restricting intern conversions?
Need to have a plan B here.
And yeah, uni always matters cos unfortunately HR has to figure out some way to differentiate you.
People will always renege, decide to do something else, maybe under converted bc intern cohort wasn’t great etc so think there will be a limited number of spots.
Just in the unfortunate position to be part of the worst intern conversions and grad roles since GFC
GS, Evercore, Santander all open. Few firms will open this year.
GS application is open, but we won't actually hire anyone for FT. Was the same story last year and our return rate for summer interns this year was a complete shitshow.
