Haven't ever heard of a single case. I suspect a lot of visa problems + university recognition problems.

How about in the other direction? I'm in the US, interested in working in London full-time. If I apply to UK graduate positions in the latter half of this year, will my application simply be tossed out? Or do I have a shot?

That is definitely possible, I've met a couple of US guys at superdays / assessment centres. Don't think anyone went through for the bank I am gonna be working at, but if they were willing to fly people out surely meant they were interested

I'm an Irish final year undergrad and I am going to NY on a 12 month graduate visa and I am interested in Trading. I'm thinking it's going to be very difficult to get in. Have you tried London firms in the past and if so what was your success?

I've just done a couple of Spring Weeks in the UK with two of the BB. I have final round interviews for both, will mention it to them re. US once I have my firm offer for next summer analyst. I'm at LSE so hopefully university recognition won't be an issue! Haha
