Warwick MORSE or MMORSE
I have just been given an offer for WW MMORSE (integrated masters) and I can switch to MORSE during uni. I was wondering which of these would give me better odds at front office/quant positions. I have heard that the integrated masters would put me at a disadvantage to other students who have done an internship instead in that year.
Also, is it pointless to take a year in industry before my final year?
Know a number of people who broke into IB/S&T from MORSE. Would point out potentially taking the MMORSE to give you the 4 year course optionality but apply to internships/springs as if you’re on a 3 year course with MORSE on your CV. That way, if you can intern in your second year and convert full time, switch to the MORSE pathway and graduate after 3 years; if for some reason you don’t convert, remain on MMORSE to give you another year to apply without looking like you didn’t convert/ having to do a £30k masters’.
Hi, thanks for responding!
Is it difficult to secure placements in the second year(convert?)? Also, if you dont mind me asking, what should I be doing the first year in uni to increase my odds at a summer internship? (I have zero projects to my name so far)
