What is a fitness and proprietary check, and an enhanced regulatory screening?

I just found out that my new role as an analyst in IB (UK) will be a regulated role. I'm currently studying to sit two exams based on FCA UK regulations and securities. I've gone through a background check already, but I've just been informed that I will have to go through a fitness and proprietary assessment and an enhanced regulatory check.

I was wondering whether anybody knows what these will entail? I'm struggling to see what else they can check about me because I've already gone through an in-depth background check.

Thank you

Bump. I know there's a question asking if you've ever been dismissed or asked to resign and resigned. If the answer to this is yes, is it a problem?
