When do Summer Applications stop being worth it?
So I've been pretty slow with applying to firms. I've applied to some within a few days, and others within 2 weeks of opening due to a mix of over-editing cover letters and procrastination. Some I still haven't applied to and they're nearing the 4 week mark. They're still open until mid-November, but these firms do rolling applications so there's always the possibility that applications close around early October or even earlier.
Is it still worth going for these or just focusing my energy on the new ones that open?
Bump
My personal experience, usually if it's over 2 weeks out there's a 90% chance 1st rounds r about to or have already been sent out. Ofc some places take a few months even, but generally like a month out is a waste if time IMO
Is it best to apply on the day the applications come out?
I always wonder if they will check past say the 500th application unless the candidates are crap.
Is it fair to say it is almost defacto first come first served though with a little more merit?
