Where to find off-cycle/non-SA internships?

Hi everyone, I'm taking a year out of my uni degree and I'm looking for off-cycles and any other/speculative internships in EMEA for at least some of the year. I'm planning on applying to 2023 SA internships as well, mainly in London, but would really like extra experience before that too. Hoping for investment banking, also open to private equity, corporate finance and relevant exp to IB. Is there any better way of finding these than just frequently checking all the banks' career pages, searching LinkedIn and cold-emailing PE/AM firms? I haven't really found any dedicated IB job newsletters or anything for UK/EMEA, and seems to be very bare outside of SA internships.Any advice would be amazing, thanks in advance :)

The off-cycle culture is pretty strong in Europe (not sure where in the EU you're from). I made use of the university job Portal, alternatives to LinkedIn such as Glassdoor, Indeed, etc. A couple of friends found their internships from LinkedIn job alerts.

Cold emailing/LinkedIn reach-out never worked for me here, neither for networking nor for internship offers.

Thank you! I’m looking at off-cycle in London and Germany mainly, my spoken German is probably just B2 though which makes me a bit skittish about it. I speak Italian as well but haven’t applied to Milan, not sure if it’d be worthwhile.

Roughly how many did you cold-email? I’ve found LinkedIn pretty good for networking and chatting to people, haven’t had success cold-emailing firms with my CV but I’ve only done it 5-10 times so far.

Can't speak for Milan but for Germany - networking and cold emailing never worked for me (ended up sending 10-15 emails to directors/VPs of BBs that came on campus for presentations and despite following up with them twice over a 4 week period, nobody responded). I believe you're better off following the standard online applications process. Check Xing, Stepstone, LinkedIn for open internship positions. For London - Just applied online to a BB off-cycle and tried networking with associates/VPs and received 0 responses.
