7 years in SemiCon Industry - looking for next step in finance
Hello everyone,
I hope you had a good start into the new year.
I started to be interested in finance and am looking for a field where my skills and experience is valuable.
I have a MSc and PhD in electrical engineering from a global top10 university. I am working in the semiconductor industry for 7 years as a sales director where I am responsible for a market segment and lead a global sales team. I will finish my MAS in finance at the end of 2020 (I didn't think eMBA brings me a lot of value but I wanted to learn more about corporate finance & valuation). I did some investments myself.
Now I am looking for a field where I can combine my strong technical background, my business & market experience and my interest in finance. VC, PE, M&A are definitely areas of interest. Do I bring value to such firms? What job title should I be looking for? Do you see any other fields that could be of interest?
Thanks!
