Allow me to introduce myself my name is....!!!

Hello everyone, So I registered on this platform YEARS ago but could never work up the nerve to introduce myself. I have to say there is a whole lot of information on just about EVERYTHING finance here and I'm grateful for that, though the avalanche of info is almost scary LOL.

I am a really really BORED TAX auditor (specialised in oil and gas related taxes) working for the government, with two years corporate banking experience (also oil and gas). I'm so bored my brain literally shuts down every morning and I spend 30mins trying to reboot.

My passion has always been finance and I have been toying with the idea of switching careers altogether. I am currently preparing for GMAT exams and I hope to get my MBA from one of the top 15 business schools.

My fear though is whether I would get a good job at middle management when I am done. I am gonna be 35 this year with 7years experiance in tax and 2years in corporate banking. My other oncern is where to specialise, the finance world is soooooooo broad and there are so many options it's mind boggling.

I would appreciate some words of advice, recommendation and painful truths please!

Thank you.
