Beginner Seeking Advice

Currently, I am an undergraduate studying Finance. I am looking for advice on how to get involved and learn about the Finance world. I am interested in suggestions on how I can make myself a better candidate when it is time to start looking for a employment before or after finishing my degree. This includes advice on programming languages that may help me stand out, on recommended daily reads or other sites that may help me be well informed.

Thank you in advance.
