Compliance Analyst at TOP 5 IB bank, yet I feel shit?

Hi,

I have recently been offered a job at a top IB bank in the compliance division. The programme is rotational so I will be assigned to a front desk (not sure which I would prefer -- I am learning towards IB, Asset Management etc) whatever happens I am KEEEN to get land an advisory role. That is my interest and what I want to do. But the bank will decide but I really want an advisory role in COMPLIANCE.. MORE MONEY!!!!!

I want to make money, but I am a lady who wants a family too and I genuinely have an interest in COMPLIANCE but I feel kind of inferior. Like, maybe I should have gone for a front office role instead of middle/back.

Someone please speak some sense to me!

Well looking back at this post now, it's evident in my current situation that compliance is no longer for me. The work is not tangible enough for me.

I want to work in IB or CF because I want to make serious money. It is a serious motivator for me. I want to be a key player and decision maker in big transactions. I find in compliance that l am not being fed intellectually at all.

Anyway, let's see what opportunities I can create for myself before my programme is over.
