CS Freshman

Hello everyone!
I am an incoming freshman at NYU. I am planning on joint majoring in Computer Science and Econ, with a minor in Math. Obviously, most people who go into IB or Wall Street in general are from Stern, so I am already a bit worried about not being in the target school within NYU.

Any general advice for an incoming freshman?

Also, does being a girl negatively affect job prospects, specifically for IB or analyst positions?

If you are a girl, you should apply to their diversity programs and programs specific for females (there are a ton for underclassmen too). Honestly, if you are a girl doing CS, I'd go intern at Google or Facebook and then leverage those names on your resume to get an IB gig later on. My 2 cents.

You crave what you are not. Dude, your perspective on life sucks.

oh god not another nyu student try transferring to stern if it's really that important for you getting into ib
