I'm new to WSO and to finance industry. I'm considering an offer in IT infrastructure. It is very attractive overall but I am wondering if anyone can speak to perceptions of IT and infrastructure in particular. IT is rightly loathed in many places both by non techs and by Developers who can't stand the "shackles" typical infrastructure shops put on them as compared to whipping out a credit card and buying on AWS. Any perspectives? Many thanks.
