From Lurker to Member

So I've lurked the site since I was in college (3 years out now). In college, I was very interested in investment banking but going to a christian school in Tulsa, OK didn't exactly set me up to go into a high speed finance job. So, I played it safe and went with an accounting degree. Started a job in auditing working on Oil and Gas clients at Grant Thornton. I then transferred back to St. Louis and joined a local firm. The main reason I'm joining is to participate in the community that I've gleaned much information from. My goal is to eventually get out of the public accounting black hole and into something enjoy more. Currently, I think that means getting an MBA from Washington University Olin as I can't uproot and go east or north (Kellogg). I have an interest in getting into consulting or PE.

That's where I'm at currently. Looking forward to learning more from everyone here.
