Hello everyone, happy to join the forum!

hello,

I wanted to take this as an opportunity to introduce myself to the forum. For a couple months I have been interested in a career in finance and have been reading these forums as a lurker. I am currently a second semester sophomore finance major at a medium sized state university in Pennsylvania. Not the greatest academic reputation but the business school is AACSB accredited and has a large alumni base. I am set to graduate in December 2017. In the last few months i have began thinking about my career and future a lot more. I think I have the potential to succeed in the finance industry and want to do everything I can to market myself. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and it should go up after this semester. I am taking Financial accounting, probability and statistics, business calculus, and two non-major courses this semester. I am going to spend some time reading some of the FAQ's but I just wanted to know what I should be doing at this stage to get a leg up on the competition?

Thanks everyone, IUPFinanceGuy
