Hello from Mexico.

Hey guys I'm Carlos and recently came across this forum. It is really cool that there are communities like this. Unfortunately for me, there is no main stream investment culture like in the states.

Background:

Born in Mexico, raised in the states. Came back to Mexico a few years ago with experience in Banking and knocking on doors for investment services. Finally, got my BA in Banking and Finance from a top tier school in Mexico and working towards a Master's in Top Management from same top tier school. Got my Series 7 equivalent which is Figura 3 from AMIB which is the self regulating market body in Mexico. I have gotten a few job offers for banking positions all of them Private banking and some haven't worked out because it is out of my area of residence (got one offer to Puerto Vallarta) or suddenly there is a 'freeze' on the position. I really think that Mexico is still in its infancy, investment wise, that I said to myself, why not start a boutique firm? And that I did. There really isn't any Goldman like presence here and the market is untapped. There is no real M&A, WM, o for that matter, family business advising. There is unlimited potential for this due to the changes in energy, tax and lending laws that the president has managed to wrangle through. It also helps that I might have some political leverage.

Anyhow, I'd love to network with you guys to help you and help me. Not all up to speed on the rules for this forum but do feel free to get in touch with me.

Carlos
