Hello Oasis

Hello all,

I've been lurking on the site for awhile and figured it's a good time as any to join. In the coming weeks I hope to fully explore the site and develop new skills and redevelop skills that I have lost while being in my current job.

The main reason is I want to be able to jump into discussions and ask questions from people in my industry and outside of my industry. I have been in a shell for a bit since COVID with my head down just working and that needs to change.

I have been in commercial real estate for about 11 years now and about 9 years has been working directly for a landlord. It's a smaller shop so you name it I have likely spent a good amount of time doing it. I have come to a major impasse unfortunately and a company I saw myself working for until retirement and handing off to the next person has pretty much turned its back on me. It has been a rough 8 months coming to grips with it and slowly but surely I have decided to look for different opportunities. I am hoping to gain some perspective from everyone here and get some career advice that I can apply to my current search and future searches.

I am excited to have discussions with some of y'all and hopefully gain advice and share my own.
