Hey everyone - a bit about me.

Hey all,

24 y.o., I came from a non-target undergrad (Economics), then got into a target grad programme (Acc&Fin). Past work experience includes microfinance institutions and consulting and corporate banking at a Spanish-based BB bank.

I secured a 3 month minimum internship as an Analyst at a small-to-mid cap Global Macro Hedge Fund in London. The probability of me staying there after the first three months is high (assuming I don't screw it up). I wanted to know from someone that had experience as an Analyst (internship or FT) at a Global Macro HF or other strategy-oriented HF how I should best prepare for it specifically and what a typical day for me may look like and what my tasks will be on a day-to-day basis. Also, if you can give me some specific reading to do (GM HF-focused or other), I'd really appreciate it!

My goal is to potentially stay in the HF world.

Hope to climb up the wso ranks and be a frequent contributor and help out in any way that I can! Cheers!
