Hey everyone -- Introduction

Im new to the site so I figured i would introduce myself so everyone can get a feel of who I am.

I am 20 years old, and currently a student at MSU actively pursuing a career in investment banking. I am an incoming Junior and was just recently accepted in the Broad school of business as a finance major. I am actively pursuing a career in IB, and I am on this site every day for hours reading and trying to learn as much as I possibly can for the upcoming fall recruiting season. To date I unfortunately have no experience with internships, however I may have the opportunity to intern at a consulting group in Chicago if things go well in the next week or so. I am open to any advice/suggestions/criticism you all may have of me, as I am motivated and determined to work on wall street someday.

A little background about me: I played hockey for 14 years and am an avid sports fan, particularly of the Red Wings. Besides hockey, I enjoy golfing and reading as well. I am also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, so if anyone on here is a sigma chi I would love to get in contact with you and learn more about you and why you chose finance as well. My father works for a company that is owned by a PE firm and is the reason why I became interested in IB, and more specifically M&A, and is ultimately the reason for my interest in finance. What I want to get out of being on this website is learning as much as possible about IB from everyone who posts here, as I can say for certain that i have already learned a great deal from reading the various posts on here. Feel free to get in contact with me for any reason, as I would love to meet as many people as possible who have experience in finance and IB.

If you have any questions or comments feel free to post below, because like I said I am on here to learn from you all in hopes that some day I can give back to this community with my own experiences and insight.

Nick
