Hi - Business management and accounting major
Hi all, been browsing the site for several months, just signed up. About me: CFA Level 1 Candidate, Education; business management and some accounting in there as well. Have my mutual funds license. Just had my 8 year anniversary with RBC Investor & Treasury Services in Toronto got lucky and was hired by one of my profs who happened to work at the bank. As a BA my core functions are workflow design: automation and control solutions and impact analysis for investment firms. I would like to one day branch out and work for one of those firms, hoping the CFA will help me get there. If I can give any advice to beginners in the industry or recent grads it would be to make sure you have your expectations in check.. do not get discouraged and work hard. you can have the best education in the world but with no work ethic your not worth much in this industry.
