Hey just wanted some advice on choosing between possible internships for the summer.I am a current sophomore from a non-target in the NY area with a decent gpa of 3.7/4.0
As of now my possible choices of internship would be to do corporate finance for a F500 company currently ranked in the top 10. Or to intern at a local and relatively unknown prop trading firm.
I would like to secure a investment banking internship at a BB or MM bank next year. Should I take one of these possible internships or try to network into a local boutique? What looks better a local boutique or F500 Finance? Any advice is helpful, Thanks.
I think F10 or boutique experience would be better for your goals. However, concentrate on actually landing the position because you get overly selective.
