Should I switch to Investment Banking?
Hi everyone,
I am a rising junior at the University of Florida class of 2024. I am currently a computer science major, but I have an interest in VC and PE. Is it a bit late to reach out and start the process? Should I just finish my degree in Computer science then pursue a master’s in Finance and join as an Associate banker?
Please advise me.
Thank you

If you’re in compsci, just network and get into VC. IB skill set is completely different than VC, where your compsci degree would be relevant. PE is a different story
A Masters in Finance wouldn’t get you an associate role, only an analyst role but it would give you an extra year to recruit (you could recruit for SA 2024)
