Is it too late for me?
Hi guys!
I've very recently decided to try out the finance pathway. I'm a rising junior at a school where a lot of kids get internships/jobs at top banks. We also have a lot of alumni in top positions at these firms. We're not an Ivy though, and I don't think we funnel students into wall street as heavily as more elite schools do. It's a preppy rich kid private university, (I'm not a preppy rich white kid) and resources are pretty good.
I think there's a chance I could get a job at a good place after college, but I just started networking this summer and didn't consider finance earlier. I also only applied to 3 companies (5 roles in total) (I fucked up the UBS numerical test, fml). Are there any good internships left that I could apply to? Are super days over at this point? Should I focus more on impressing the higher-ups that'll agree to talk to me? Will I have an internship next summer? Insight please
