Maths vs. Statistics?

Hey guys I'm at a non-target university (University of Toronto) and not in a business program. I was thinking of either majoring in Maths or Statistics. What would you guys recommend to major in, for jobs in finance. I'm assuming that to get a respectable resume I would need to get a masters as well? Also what kind of areas do math/statistic people work in, generally?

If any of you guys got experience with these majors/know people that took this route, feel free to help me out/give me tips!

Thanks :)

Statistics > Calc for finance related roles. That doesn't mean that calc is not important.

I'll do what I can to help ya'll. But, the game's out there, and it's play or get played.
