Military mbr planning transition

Hey everyone, I've been a military officer for 6.5 years and am planning on transitioning out of the service in a year. My goal is real estate development.

I went to a "target" school but majored in Architecture so I'm not sure if that matters. I didn't have any business background so I've been working on an MBA through a non target state school. I know the lack of prestige won't open a ton of doors, but I figured it was something I could do to build up some marketable skills. I've planned on completing an MRED at some point in the future in place of taking another 2 years for a more prestigious MBA. Unfortunately, the military has not given me any experience in construction or finance.

I appreciate all the advice on the website. I look forward to hearing opinions from other vets and people in the development field.
