New member Intro
I should start out by stating that I'm not in banking. I work for a private company as a marketing manager.
I came across WSO while reading forums on the GMAT. I'm studying for the GMAT for a while now and am trying to put together an application for the Fall 2014 R1. I found the phantombanker's GMAT post helpful, although I must say that I'm quite jealous of that so many of you are posting 750s after only a couple months or less of studying - this puts me to shame, but nobody said life is fair:)
After reading some of the top rated discussions, I'm impressed with the insights and caliber of the community. Most of these things don't apply exclusively to banking analysts and are very useful career advice. I've considered changing my career direction to something else, such as real estate or PE, and if I do WSO will be the first place I turn.
Welcome! I think you'll find a lot of useful information here. There have been a ton of posts related to b-school recently too.
