Peking Univ. Intro

I am a sophomore from China studying engineering in Peking University( kinda of target school, not sure;( )
I have just made mine mind to break into the finance industry, especially investment banking department in a bank. I am working hard now trying to land an internship next summer in Hong Kong. And, nice to meet you all.

Yeah, BeiDa is definitely a target school. Fierce competition. There is tons of competition so try to do what you can (network/work the guanxi, ask around, chase people, cold call alums etc). Remember there are local banks, international banks, local pe firms, international pe firms, mutual funds etc etc. At this stage all will be relevant so do your best to get a seat in... Maybe reach out to business school and students there? Have you heard of Professor Michael Pettis? Perhaps you should chase him down.

一路平安!(good/safe journey, ie. enjoy the ride - as we say in the US)

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.
