Polish People in Investment Banking

Hi, I am a (unfortunately) Polish high school student who happens to be really interested in finance, the stock market in particular. I do realise that my chances of getting into IB in London, even if I go to LSE or Oxbridge, are minimal if not nonexistent. That's why I would like to ask you whether you know any Poles working in IB. I have personally found exactly 2. Are there any particular reasons for this lack of Polish people in IB? If you have any opinions, related knowledge or contacts, please share them. Jokes about Poles and insults are welcome, provided you give a real example.

I know plenty of Polish bankers and HF analysts/PMs in New York and London. There are quite a few Poles in high finance roles but they keep a low profile as @UFOinsider pointed out. The key for you would be to go to a great university and network you way into meeting Poles who have done well in the industry. With GS office in Warsaw and the JPM opening a new office there soon, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet executives and introduce yourself. If you're interested in the stock market then forget about investment banking and focus on trading/research.

I bet its because polish people are discriminated against, but at the same time your skin is white, so no diversity schemes for you. Double whammer!
