Reaching to be the 1%

Hi, there.

I am one of the many monkeys that are hoping to step on Wall Street and work against/with you, one day. I am working towards a Bachelor degree in Finance. I hope to land an internship in the FiDi by the time I am done, and get started on my Masters degree after and hopefully come back with an offer for a full time position.

Now, feel free to rip on me and my dream. I understand this is an extremely competitive industry and I would feel the same way if I were in your position.

I've worked in service positions, and other basic jobs. The extremely limited potential in these positions have frustrated me to no end, hence I am here.

All these fancy job titles and acronyms are very overwhelming for a baby monkey like me. If someone can breakdown the most basic stuff for me (or link me to where I can find the info), it'd be awesome.

I have a question for all of you. If you could start your career all over, what would you specialize in? What is your favourite/least favourite type of market (I don't know if that's the right term. Excuse me if it's inappropriate.)?

I don't understand what more you're trying to learn, it sounds like you're ready!

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.
