Scottish Non-Target Looking to Work In M&A at an Investment Bank
I'm a second-year university student in Scotland. I go to a non-target university and have found it difficult to network as there aren't any investment banks in Scotland as far as I'm aware (apart from some back office stuff). I was just hoping that someone may be able to give me some advice regarding networking. I have some connections in wealth management at a firm which manages around £670bn and was wondering if this experience would be relevant to IB. Any help is much appreciated, I just think I am finding it slightly difficult as I live in an area with no links to IB, unlike London or NYC. Would I be better attempting to do a postgrad at Edinburgh Uni? Again, thanks for any help.
