Career Advice
Hey, long time lurker here.
I have a couple of job offers and having a hard time deciding between them. First job offer is with a Big 4, specifically in their Deal Advisory team focusing on infrastructure and public sector advisory. The second is with a large UK bank on their commercial banking graduate scheme. Comp is better at the bank initially, but from what I can tell I am more interested in the work the Big 4 team does. Longer term I am interested in working in project finance or an infra team in IB, but I don't know which route would offer me the better exit ops for this.
Any advice would be great.
I work in Infra / Energy PE.
So long as the big 4 transaction advisory work involves some modelling then I would advise you take that. It's quite common to see people from big 4 advisors move into Project Finance / Infra Investment roles in funds or similar investors
