Nice general tips. I don't think many people carry a filofax anymore. The most important thing came at the very end:

A real gentleman always looks the part and the regulations for leisurewear are just as intricate.

I think this really sets people apart from the herd. I always like to meet someone in an "informal" setting to see how they carry themselves away from the office.

Yeah good point. I am not sure how fair it is to judge someone on how they walk around in their free time though?

I just want to make sure they look appropriate for the setting. One scenario would be to invite someone to meet for coffee on a Saturday morning and tell them I will be dressed casually.

Are they wearing athletic shorts and a t-shirt? Or did they wear a nice pair of jeans and a polo?

tl;dr that article but GQ is the authority on style advice for men (among other things lol)

You're pretty clueless. I am too, but at least I realize it.

Also, I just bought http://www.american-giant.com/mens-heavyweight-full-zip-hooded-sweatshi… and it's fucking incredible. Referred my school email and I'm about to buy the pants.

Just dress like Patrick Bateman.

I had hoped you'd have higher standards than that.
