How to survive the London underground during summer months
I'm moving down to London for 8 weeks for an internship and I'm already familiar with the underground and the temperature it can get to even in spring/autumn months. Seeing as I will be using the underground during rush hour, does anyone have any tips they can offer so I don't melt into my suit over the summer.
Thanks in advance.
I always tried standing close to the doors and was hoping for enough wind to pass through the door seals while the train was moving. The tube carriages without A/C suck during summer, too bad there is no alternative.
Can you take the overground, even if it takes more time and walk the rest?
Some lines such as the district/circle/met have A/C, The following line should be avoided : Central/Piccadilly/Northern. Anyway for your internship as you will be first in last out, you shouldn't take the tube during rush hour too much.
