L1 Visa

Hello,

Wondering if anyone here has experience with the L1 visa, and what the path to green card (if any) is like.

I'm an Associate at an American BB in London, looking to transfer to NY with the view to settle there. I'm Dutch if that changes anything.

I've read elsewhere on WSO that banks only sponsor at VP level, but an immigration lawyer I spoke to (who works with a few European BBs) told me the sponsorship process is initiated after 1 year in the US (regardless of corporate title). Any other data points would be helpful.

I understand there's a visa ban right now, but I'm working under the assumption this will be lifted as expected at the start of next year.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks
