London Cars

Evening all,

Currently finishing up an off-cycle stint at an MM bank in London and have been curious about what cars bankers drive/can afford.

The MD on my team drove a 991 911 and I thought that might be a standard enough car given its price point.

Interested to hear what car you drive or what other bankers you work with drive.

Thanks.

Hey there,

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that the choice of car can vary greatly among bankers. It's not uncommon for some to opt for luxury vehicles, like your MD with his 991 911. However, it's also important to remember that many bankers, especially in cities like London, may choose not to own a car at all due to the convenience of public transportation and the high costs of parking and maintenance.

As for what a banker can afford, it really depends on their personal financial situation and priorities. Some might prefer to invest their money elsewhere, while others might see a luxury car as a worthwhile expenditure.

Remember, it's not just about what you can afford, but also what makes sense for your lifestyle and financial goals. So, whether it's a Porsche, a more modest vehicle, or even a bicycle, the best choice is the one that suits you best.

Keep those wheels spinning!

Nobody in my team drives given that its London and the tube is quicker. Except for MD's who have houses outside of London. They drive porsche 911's, bentley continental, BMW X5,  audi rs6 are some cars I can think of
