Made it but am fat now
I grew up in poverty (parents are illegal immigrants) but had girls paying for my food before I smashed them when I was 18. I’m 28 now and made it to a millionaire can easily retire when I’m 50 or sth but have the issue that I’m fat now. Basically destroyed my peak looks for wealth. I‘m almost 5‘8 (Tal for my ethnicity) but weight almost 180 lbs. Bsck in my peak I was 135 with a 210 bench press (used to to do powerlifting in HS).
I am to stop focusing on career and everything else to get back to my peak. I just started ozempic and was wondering if anyone else has any insight. Am also down for a plastic surgeon. The major issues all my colleagues are fat and idk seems like it is a bad thing at work to be healthy or sth.
Plastic surgery is not going to fix bad eating habits
Ozempic is a band aid, it'll slim you down but you need to make changes to your lifestyle, eating and workout plans.
Stress and high hours usually mean health is one of the first things to go.
How did you get on ozempic? Usually you have to be super fat with one or more health issues for insurance to cover it.
He's probably covering out of pocket
Such a waste of money. $1k per month when cleaning up your eating habits is free.
5’8 180lb is overweight but not cooked lol.
Make a conscious effort to get more steps in throughout the day and restrict caloric intake + prioritize protein
3 hard 30min lifting sessions a week is all it really takes
Yeah I never gained weight as an analyst. It’s everyday choices that add up. Don’t eat chick fil a for lunch everyday, get a lean salad bowl with chicken and greens or pack your lunch. Don’t order high calorie coffee. Same with dinner. Take walks for breaks during the day.
Exactly this. Granted I work in a group that’s 60-70 hours average so I still lift 4-5x days a week. I also will walk to the farther bathrooms to get my steps in throughout the day. I bring my lunch as well and track my macros (roughly). 6 months in at this point, cut down to mid 180s, back to about 190 and will be cutting weight again. It’s truly just discipline and making conscious decisions.
wow bro sick flex with the food thing, glad you made this post
>mexican man gains weight, more breaking news at 11
you looksmatched with tortas, as you should, so make your parents proud and settle down with a 5‘1 torta (tall for your ethnicity btw)
Deathnic torta pounder a tale as old as time…
I went from another similar ethnicity 5’8 185 to 150 using glp as well. I pigged out post SA senior year and it carried over my first analystyear before making a change this may. It’s not super hard to do as long as you can change up habits, you won’t feel much desire to eat so you really do need to prioritize healthier foods rather than getting full eating junk that will make you extremely tired all day at work. I passed out once near start cus I was basically only eating 1000 calories worth of Doritos and chocolate which have no nutritional value already.
You absolutely need to workout too otherwise you will hit a trough of losing fat and muscle and being skinny on arms and legs while still having the super dangerous visceral fat and being bowling ball stomach.
See a registered dietician and clean up eating habits bro
I always say you shouldn't go on ozempic or other fat loss drugs unless you absolutely have to. We don't know the long term side effects of GLP 1. I'm same height, I've been around the same weight and have done bulking and cutting cycles. It's not rocket science, it's literally just thermodynamics. All a calorie is is a measure of energy. More calories in than burned, you gain weight. Less, you lose weight.
Also, put on some muscle. If you powerlifted, it's likely your body has high muscle memory, and so you can likely put on muscle very quickly if you start. Being skinny is lame. Being fat is worse. Being jacked or yoked is where it's at.
try to look in the long-term...ozempic will for sure do more bad than good in the long term.
people talking about weight loss like its magical. i think its pretty simple. you can't out exercise a bad diet.
you gotta get comfortable with being hungry. and that's something you can't sell, because how do you sell mental strength. but that's what it takes. just out of sheer determination and eating one meal a day, i was able to lose 20 lb over half a year while on the job. i had cheat days and im definitely plateauing, but i've definitely not yoyo'd back up and im back to what i weighed, although still somewhat chunky, in my uni days which im super happy about.
with your height I wouldn't even bother trying to get lean - girls won't care anyway. money is your way to pussy (and nothing's wrong with that - everybody should be playing their strengths).
the truth. life startsat 6'2 200lb lean
this guy can go back to "prime" 5'7.5 135lb and still get mogged by average 6'2 200lb upper middle class white ex-rugby/rowing/football/hockey guys
Work in IB or be fat. The duality of man.
Eat a strict diet of salmon and salad with extra Virgin olive oil and you'll be good
Only wild caught salmon though, no farm salmon.
u conquered poverty. now conquer the fridge.
being the only ripped guy in a room of soft pe investors is a massive power move. it signals a level of discipline they traded away for carry.
ignore your colleagues. "it's bad to be healthy" is the lie lazy people tell themselves to feel better about their gut.
use ozempic if you want. use surgery. but you used to bench 210. the muscle memory is there.
u have the capital. buy the time. get back in the gym.
a fat millionaire is just a rich corpse in training.
don't think this guy needs more help conquering the fridge tbf
"Almost" 5'8 and tall for your ethnicity... what's your ethnicity, leprechaun?
probably indian
It’s dead obvious he’s Mexican based on his original post
I know you were only using that in a joking manner but you triggered some history special interest
I got loads of irish ancestry on my mom's side.
The Irish were actually taller than the British, historical evidence backs this up (including some interesting stuff from WW1). This was after Ireland went through a famine btw, as well as living under oppression (Penal Laws) by a foreign power.
I'll let you work out who the foreign oppressive power (who's head of state effectively limited the size of donations during the famine) was
I suppose if it wasn't for their oppression be stil living in a different former colony (still partly occupied)
5'7.5 135lb and you were getting kills at 18? calling cap unless youre just straight dumpster diving
2 Words: Cycle Reta.
100%, its going to change the world
Just eat less. Taking drugs / getting surgery is wild
take retatrutide
this + stims and you're golden

180 lbs at 5'8 is fine, just hit the gym you'll be a healthy weight
It's not so much about weight for appearance as it is bf%. You ideally want to be 15% or less, but if you can get 10-12% that's even more ideal. For reference I'm 5'9 165lb @ 13% bf, so I'm more concerned with seeing abs and muscle definition compared to my weight. I maybe weigh myself once a month. If you hit the gym 4-6x per week and get minimum 180 g of protein per day you could completely change your appearance in like 3-4 months. Also, ozempic can eat away at muscle mass which will not help your bf%. I think getting on ozempic is not worth it at your weight for your height
14% is ideal IMO assuming you're tall with a wide robust frame
Depends. I’m on the average height side so I feel a slim frame works for me best. I also walk like 15k steps per day so it’s hard for me to ever be in a surplus to get bigger. I think anything between 10-15% is really solid. Anything above 15% you can look better leaner and anything below 10% requires insane effort/lifestyle changes and you start to look a little scary to some women compared to 12%

what a retarded thing to say...
Good boy
Lift a few days a week and hit 10k steps a day and eat more protein. way more. You can easily lose this weight and recomp. Cut out alcohol entirely too until you're at a healthier weight. Don't take any weight loss drugs this is a really easy position to recover from. Look up a 4 day routine, probably an upper lower and stick to it for months. 180 is not that bad at your height (I mean it's bad but not entirely unsalvageable) you can turn this around in under a year for sure. If there is some unhealthy culture around getting fit at your work then you're gonna have to do your best to politely ignore it. I'm all too familiar with this crabs in a bucket mentality I've seen it a million times. Ignore the free cake or pizza at work stick to your guns. If you must go out drink diet soda or something.
180 isn't your problem. 5'8" is.
