Marry Rich or Pursue IB Dreams

Hi Monkeys

I'm a freshman right now and my IB recruiting journey is going a bit rough. Currently my GPA is ass (3.4) and I've barely involved myself in clubs while also minimally networking with seniors. However, an interesting prospect came up for me recently.

I am a slightly above average attractive man (5 10 HTN) so I get a lot of likes off of dating apps - mainly Hinge. Recently on one of my dates I found out my match was unfathomably loaded. I'm talking about private jet & butler that wipes your ass loaded. The problem is from the get-go I can tell that she is a pretty emotionally & physically needy girl, meaning that I would have to reallocate time for her that I would have spent on improving my IB situation.

Currently IB trjactory is looking like MM to Poo poo tier banks (DB, Stifel, UBS), while locking in with this girl just seems to have unlimited upside (marrying in and potentially inheriting African-blood diamond type business)

Monkeys, what should I do? Should I work for the rest of my college career, probably ending up in WF Anchorage/Stifel Chattanooga or should I make my life revolve around this girl so I can basically be part of the Rothschilds.

Do I even want to know what "I am a slightly above average attractive man (5 10 HTN)" means?

How doyou 100% sure she'll marry you ?? Many rich women use boys as toys, they just date you and throw you away later and she ends up marrying another old billionare, or keep you as her lover. You wont be in her family name-book and you wont inherit but she'll proabbly ensure you get fed and live in a good hotel, but you'll never be owner, you'll forveer be server and if she grow tired of you, you're dumped and left with no money

If there's genuinley a connection, by all means date her. I wouldn't scrap your career though. Most people your age will be working, so having endless free time at your stage will be somewhat incongruent.

I'll add that at the end of the day, her family's money will belong to...you guessed it, her family. Always better to be as self-sufficient as possible at the end of the day.

So while you absolutely can marry rich as a guy, you're not even far along in that endeavour yet. It's not like she's your longtime gf or anything. If you think you can handle her emotional needs and whatnot, keep going on that path BUT do not neglect your own career development. There's no guarantee it works out with her and you don't want to be a total bum/mooch, so have your own 2 feet to stand on in any case.
