McDonald’s is fighting drunk customers with Mozart and Bach

Now this is not your usual Mcdonalds news, this one is special because it's unusual. According to this article;

A McDonald’s UK spokesperson told The Mirror: “We have tested the effects of classical music in the past and played it in some of our restaurants as it encourages more acceptable behavior.”

The article also mentions that;

Duke University’s Dr. Kevin Laber found classical music calmed people as it released pleasure-inducing dopamine and repressed the release of stress hormones.

It seems like Mcdonalds's in Europe and the UK have a big problem with drunks. Is there anyone who listens to classical music and can confirm this?

Also what music do you listen to when you're drunk?

Classical music has been proven to improve academic excellence. No biggie there.

Beeing located in Europe, I can testify to the level of late night drunks at places like McDonalds etc - never heard classical music in those places, though

I listen to classical from time to time for enjoyment and always when I study (Mozart, Bach, Beethoven and Handle). Also, playing classical music on your preferred instrument will develop great skill and a more thorough understanding of theory. Listening/playing classical seems to activate the mind more than anything else. Personally, thinking of the composer writing for each instrument and then the performance being executed with precision brings a sense of beauty that can be very soothing as well as mind activating. Solo pieces can be amazing as well because a lot of times they require such intense skill that only a master can truly pull it off.

The music I listen to the most frequently would be metal/hard rock, then blues, country and classical.

Only two sources I trust, Glenn Beck and singing woodland creatures.

I always listen to “Whiskey Girl” by Gillian Welch. There are drinking songs to carouse to, and there are drinking songs to listen to at 4am while you pour out another whiskey and your mind turns over what could’ve been, or where you could get cigarettes at this hour.
