Recommended Backpacks?
What backpack do you or did you carry? Any you would recommend? I'm looking to buy a new one that's business-friendly but I can also wear it casually around the campus. Hopefully I can also bring it into the workplace when I finally start interning in person lol. My price range is $50-100.

Size is more determined by your specific needs.
I swear by tumi, looks good, holds up for years, and doesn’t get bulky
Seconded. I've had mine for a decade and use it everyday (and I'm not gentle with it) - no real signs of wear yet.
It's a bit more than your $100 cap, but I rock a Targus CityLite Pro Modern. Nice and professional looking. Turns into a tote bag if you want/need to with a side handle. Or you can make it a single over the shoulder sling too if that's your style. Side pocket that also hides a drink pouch but can also hold a phone/wallet. Tons of internal pockets. Etc.
On a tangent, whatever happened to the ubiquitous Jansport with the (p)leather bottoms? Anyone else remember that being the thing to have back in jr high and high school?
DaKine is really the goat. It will last you 15 years they are so durable.
I’m still using my DaKine from 2011. They really are the goat.
I’ve been using the same Deuter Groden bag since college. Nice and spacious and bag has a brace to allow ventilation so your back doesn’t stick to your bag which was nice in the heat. Also comes with a rain cover so your bag doesn’t get wet. Very light and durable given it’s a hiking backpack.
Tumi ftw
Douchebags.
Their duffle bags are ace too
I've got a company branded Ogio work bag, and knowing what it cost, I'd steer away from them. Granted, I do commute daily into Manhattan and it's seen the floor of many a subway car, as well as the bottom of more than a few plane seats, but still. (It's a briefcase/messenger bag because I swing that way--RESPECT MY LIFE CHOICES G--D@MN!T)
Tumi, DaKine or Fjallraven are all quality that won't let you down.
JanSport suede is still baller if you're a 90s kid like me too.
In your budget? north face surge or recon
Black Jansport
My high sierra has been going strong for 6 or 7 years now. It’s the TSA one that was originally $170. Quality is leagues above the other high Sierra models, but not sure if you can find it online anymore. Got mine on sale and no issues at all to date
I offered OP my High Sierra pack if they want it, after shipping costs obviously. Never used it, stuck to my Targus. But it's a high quality pack so I totally get why you still carry your's and if I didn't have said Targus I'd be sporting that High Sierra for sure.
Yup I used to use the more basic ones. This one has a ton of metal and is pretty heavy duty. Reminds me of a SwissGear backpack. Has hella clips and a laptop compartment with tons of padding. Next zipper opens the backpack completely flat like opening a hotdog bun and flattening it out. Then a large main compartment, another medium compartment, then a front zipper compartment. Also has a zipper up top on the front which is handy for wallet, keys, etc. Two drink mesh holders with both being connected to zipper pockets. Thing is an absolute tank
