Recruiters - just send a rejection email (Rant)

"Hi anon, we have reviewed your resume and look forward to setting up some time to discuss your background. Please let me know of several times over the next few days to discuss and I'll send over a zoom invite."

**At this point, I have spell checked and format checked the email 4 times. Sends the available times in a cordial manner within 6 hours of first contact. **

I made sure I spelled their name correctly because it was spelled weird. (i.e.) What kind of parent names their kid Jordyn or Eryka? One that wants their kid to have a lower back tattoo and work in HR ......Crickets......

1-2 weeks later I follow up.... Nothing

This happened at 2 reputable banks in the past 3 months known for their "culture", where the recruiter was like "we should interview this person" then get ghosted after they initiated the first interaction.

Can you just straight up send me a rejection email or be professional and ghost me before reaching out?

Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

I am just gonna go ahead and name the bank but I had an HR person from Nomura reach out to set up a time to discuss background. We schedule a time and then she doesn’t pick up. I followed up two/three times after that and she didn’t reply lol. 3-4 months pass and still nothing. Then, I get an offer from a much better bank and literally the week after that they send a first round invite lol.
