San Francisco neighborhood advice needed

Hello friends,

Finally!!!! I will be moving to SF Bay area in a few months for a new job and I need your help ❤️ Do you have any recommendations on a safe/fun neighborhoods in SF Bay area?

My background: Female in 30s, would love to live where other professionals live without kids, I won’t have my car, lived in Manhattan for 5 years.

In the meantime, I came up with a few selections…🤭

  • SF: I was thinking about the city, but I heard it’s become a ghost town with increase in homeless population. The city might feel too small after living in NYC.
Heard a few places like Hayes valley and Nob hill are nice..would be nice to live in the city since I am single and ready to mingle in SF 😂

  • San Mateo: Seems safer than SF and decent commute to work, but might be too boring?? What do you think?

  • Mountain View/Palo Alto: Sounds like fun thanks to Stanford and all the tech men out there in Silicon Valley but 1.5 hours to work commute. Worth it? Will be working hybrid style.

Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated!!! 😘😘😘😘

I used to live in San Mateo County and to me much safer and happier than Sf but it really depends on you expectations, city life better sf or Sj. Please use citi data dot com.

SafariJoe, wins again!
