UK and 4 work days in a week
Any thoughts about 4 working days in a week which UK will try out? Any possible concequences of this to banking, consulting etc.

Gibbon@, sorry there are no responses yet. Maybe one of these topics can point you in the right direction:
More suggestions...
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
In an European BB in London, every single bank holiday I had this year has been blown due to work. No, this 4 day trial in the UK will have no bearing on an industry that doesn't even respect "bank" holidays.
Another country I have lived in before have tried this concept and it had many advantages, surprisingly. People were much happier at the workplace and more relaxed, even more motivated to put more effort into the other days.
Not sure whether banking will care that much about it though.
How were the advantages surprising lol, seems pretty obvious to me
Overall output increased. Which wasn't expected with a missing day.
Banks will come up with a revolutionary 8 days work week instead
Given the market is open Mon-Fri it will not be possible for me to do. At least I’m off on bank holidays!
Yeah this is the sad part about working in financial markets vs tech
Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer putting a moderate amount of effort each day than going full turbo charge with periods of nothing. Much harder to adjust remain in the groove after the periods of nothing compared to consistent but moderate effort.
So instead of working 5 weekdays and work 2 days over weekends now bankers will work 4 weekdays and 3 days over weekends?
This isn’t going to apply to bankers unfortunately
Might be interesting to consulting firms (lot of money saved on housing/per diems if they work 1 less day on site) but this won't work for any finance job that's tied to the stock market.
